CTE Students Earn 1st District 9 Regional SkillsUSA Competition

Twenty-five students from PPS CTE programs at Allderdice, Brashear, Carrick, Perry and Westinghouse competed in the 2015 SkillsUSA Regional Competition at Somerset County CTC and Central Westmoreland CTC. PPS students competed against students from 7 career and technical schools in their area of study. Fourteen PPS students excelled and medaled in their contests.

The students who earned first-place medals will go on to compete at the state level. Allderdice RHVAC student John Ceballos will also take part in the state’s Sheet Metal competition (this competition is only offered at the state level).
