Auto-Body

The CTE Automotive Body Repair program students to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair damaged vehicles such as automobiles and light trucks. Students learn to examine damage and estimate cost of repairs; straighten bent frames and unibody structures using hydraulic jacks and a laser alignment machine; remove and replace glass; file, grind and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools. Water-based paints are computer matched and applied in the state-of-the art paint booth to restore the car’s factory finish.

Auto-Body offers certifications such as:

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
  • Safety & Pollution Prevention (S/P2)
  • S/P2 Collision Repair & Refinish Safety
  • OSHA
